Where can I hear the show?
The show is broadcast on Radio Cardiff every Monday evening from 8-8:30pm and repeated on Tuesday evenings 11-11:30pm. You can also download the shows from this website and subscribe to a podcast.
Why “Pythagoras’ Trousers”?
The name of the show doesn’t really have a great deal of meaning. We wanted it to be original and to grab people’s attention. However it also refers to the myth that Pythagoras may have been the first European to wear trousers.

What is Radio Cardiff?
Radio Cardiff is a community radio station that broadcasts across the capital city of Wales on 98.7FM as well as across the world online. The station mainly features music of black origin such as soul, funk and jazz music. You can find out more and listen online by visiting their website.
What are STEM Ambassadors?
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Ambassadors are volunteers who are working in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. They promote their skills to young learners, actively encourage them to enjoy these subjects, and inform them about the unique career opportunities that are available to them. What’s that music?
The music used during our STEM Ambassador of the Week feature is Duke Ellington’s Main Stem (see what we did there?!). For Subjects of Science, the music is Pythagoras’ Trousers, written by Simon Jeffes and performed by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. It is from the album Penguin Cafe Orchestra available on the Virgin record label.
